Business Manager

Role Summary
The Business Manager is an operational and strategic leadership role responsible for the end-to-end performance and profitability of our client's entire portfolio of Strategic Business Units (SBUs). This individual will serve as the central coordinating force, ensuring all SBU teams (Tech, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Advisory) are aligned and executing against aggressive revenue, customer acquisition, and service delivery targets.
This role requires a proven ability to manage P&L, optimize cross-functional operations, and drive high-value B2B partnership revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & SBU Performance
- P&L Oversight: Be accountable for the overall revenue growth and profitability of al SBUs
- Revenue Strategy: Drive strategies to achieve targeted Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and overall SBU revenue growth by Q4 2025.
- Cost Efficiency: Actively manage and monitor operational costs to ensure the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) is low.
Strategic Partnerships & Growth
- B2B Pipeline: Lead the execution and delivery of al strategic B2B partnership goals.
- Activation: Drive the post-sales process
Operational Excellence & Service Delivery
- Customer Acquisition: Implement strategies to bring new paying customers.
- Platform Efficiency: Monitor and manage the digital platform's operational health.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting
- Project Leadership: Successfully lead and deliver at least 3 cross-functional projects per quarter, coordinating resources across technology, operations, and marketing teams.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to the Founder, covering detailed performance against all KPIs, performance gaps, risks, and definitive improvement plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree (MBA) is a significant advantage.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in business operations, general management, or consulting, with demonstrable P&L responsibility or significant input into operational strategy.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex, revenue-generating projects on time and budget.
- Solid understanding of the digital/SaaS business model, particularly within the Fintech or B2B services space.
- Exceptional data analysis ski ls, comfortable with financial statements, operational metrics, and defining KPIs.
- Experience in the Nigerian or African SME ecosystem is strongly preferred.
