Growth Executive
Job Description:
Our client is a financial literacy platform (EdTech) and investment gateway (Fintech) dedicated to helping Africans build wealth through education, community, and digital advisory tools. We simplify complex financial concepts and provide our users with the resources they need to master their money and secure their future.
The Role
Our client is looking for a high-octane Growth Executive to lead its user acquisition and retention efforts. This is not a traditional marketing role; it is a strategic leadership position that sits at the intersection of data, product, and marketing.
You will be responsible for the entire growth funnel—from the moment a user hears about us to the moment they become a long-term subscriber and investor. You will own the growth roadmap and be expected to deploy data-driven experiments that scale our user base across Nigeria and the Diaspora.
Key Responsibilities (Senior Scope)
- Growth Strategy & Execution: Design and lead the overarching growth strategy for our subscription products and financial tools. You will own the "North Star" metric for user growth.
- Funnel Optimisation: Analyse the entire customer journey (AARRR funnel). Identify bottlenecks in user onboarding and retention, and implement high-impact interventions to improve conversion rates.
- Data-Led Decision Making: Utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar) to track user behavior. You are expected to present weekly performance reports to leadership with actionable insights, not just numbers.
- High-Level Partnerships: Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with fintechs, corporate organisations, and influencers to drive mass-market penetration.
- Product Growth: Work closely with the Product and Content teams to ensure the user experience aligns with growth goals. You will advocate for "growth loops" to be built directly into the platform.
- Budget & ROI Management: Efficiently manage the growth budget, ensuring a low CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) and a high LTV (Lifetime Value).
- Experimentation Culture: Run A/B tests across landing pages, email marketing, and ad creatives. You should have a "fail fast, learn faster" mindset.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Track Record: 3–5 years of experience in Growth Marketing, Performance Marketing, or Business Development, preferably within a Fintech, EdTech, or high-growth SaaS startup.
- Strategic Thinking: You don't just execute; you think two steps ahead. You understand market trends in the Nigerian personal finance space.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep experience with performance marketing (Meta/Google Ads), SEO/SEM, CRM automation (HubSpot/Mailchimp), and data visualisation.
- Analytical Mindset: You are "dangerously" comfortable with Excel and data tools. You can spot a trend in a sea of data.
- Leadership Qualities: Experience managing small teams or cross-functional projects. You can influence stakeholders even without direct authority.
- Communication: Exceptional storytelling skills. You can translate complex growth data into a compelling narrative for the executive team.
